In the last couple of weeks residents of Gerrards Cross and The Chalfonts have been keeping a keen eye out for the mystery lady who is training to run the London Marathon for local charity, William’s Fund, sponsored by Place Estate Agents.
Now all can be revealed, fitness instructor Sarah Westbrook-Burr of Gerrards Cross has been braving the elements in her new running kit, in training for the Marathon which takes place on 21 April. This will be Sarah’s second London Marathon and this year she is hoping to finish in under 4 hours.
Sarah is delighted to be running for William’s Fund, a local charity which raises money for research into childhood cancers. William’s Fund was established in 2001 in memory of William Dodd, who died at the age of 4 years and 9 months.
Since William died, the fund has raised over £600,000 for The Childhood Cancer Research Fund. All money raised goes directly into research, as all administration is undertaken by volunteers.
